FieldNET® by Lindsay’s Pivot Control Lite Earns a Spot on the World Ag Expo

 2018 Top-10 New Product List

New Technology Extends FieldNET’s Capabilities to a Broader Range of Growers and Equipment Types

(OMAHA, Neb.) – December 2017— World Ag Expo officials have announced that FieldNET by Lindsay’s Pivot Control Lite is one of the winners in its 2018 Top-10 New Products Competition. Sponsored by Bank of America, the competition recognizes cutting-edge products that help farmers save money and resources.

“We are truly honored to receive this distinction,” said Reece Andrews, director of FieldNET and Zimmatic Controls at Lindsay Corporation. “We are committed to developing and deploying the most innovative irrigation technologies – and this prestigious award enhances FieldNET’s rich history of industry-leading recognition.”

Also a winner of the 2018 AE50 Award, Pivot Control Lite is an end-of-pivot mounted controller that provides growers with a simpler, more cost-effective option for remote monitoring and control of existing and earlier model center pivots. The easy-to-use solution delivers many advanced irrigation management capabilities that previously were only available with more advanced solutions.

“Pivot Control Lite is an especially great solution for growers who are operating multiple brands of pivots or who have pivots on leased land, where they have no ownership of the pivot but still want the benefits of remote monitoring and control,” Andrews said. “It’s mounted at the last tower, so it’s easy to move to another pivot for growers who rotate to other fields.”

Pivot Control Lite comes with an optional cable theft detection package, so even when it’s powered off, it is actively monitoring the span cable. It also is fully compatible with FieldNET Advisor™ - patented technology that helps growers decide precisely when, where and how much to irrigate.

The World Ag Expo Top-10 New Products Competition is conducted annually by the International Agri-Center in conjunction with World Ag Expo, which draws more than 1,400 exhibitors and an estimated annual average of 100,000 visitors from 70 countries. Contest judges include farmers, ranchers and industry professionals. The winners will be showcased February 13-15 during the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California.
