Introducing the New, Improved FieldNET® App
1 de mar. de 2018
This week we launched the new, improved FieldNET Mobile app. Available on the App Store® and Google Play™, the app includes several new features added in response to past customer requests.
“With this launch, we are continuing to deliver on our commitment to provide growers with first-rate advanced tools to optimize their operations,” said Reece Andrews, director of FieldNET and Zimmatic controls at Lindsay Corporation. “The new app has an extremely intuitive and fast user interface, offering an enhanced level of mobility and precision that growers won’t find with other remote irrigation management solutions.”
Offering seamless remote monitoring and control, FieldNET technology is compatible with almost any electric pivot brand. It delivers real-time information, so growers can see exactly what their systems are doing and control them quickly and easily from a smartphone, tablet or computer. The technology is currently available to growers in more than 50 countries in North and South America, Asia Pacific, Africa and Eastern and Western Europe.
Key features and new, real-time functionalities now available via the FieldNET mobile app include:
- The ability to enable/disable auto-restart and auto-reverse
- Powerful end gun controls, providing aerial views
- Improved search tools for equipment and groups
- The ability to shut down multiple pivots simultaneously
- Displays time remaining for current circle or until the next stop
- Streamlined status alerts now delivered via push notification, if desired
- An improved “one-touch “method to access a free demonstration
Additional features that are expected to be integrated into the FieldNET app later this year include variable rate irrigation (VRI) and FieldNET Advisor™, new technology from Lindsay that takes remote irrigation management to the next level by helping growers decide precisely when, where and how much to irrigate. Currently available for use on corn and soybean crops in the U.S. and Canada, Andrews said growers can look forward to FieldNET Advisor covering additional crops in more regions in the coming months.
“It’s one of the industry’s most cost-effective solution for remote irrigation management and, with the new app’s flexible, user-friendly interface, it’s never been easier,” Andrews said. “It helps growers stay informed and make operational adjustments in real time – reducing trips to the field and saving time, money, water, energy, chemicals, labor and wear and tear on their vehicles.”
