Longtime Dealer in Brazil Makes the Move to Zimmatic

For more than 30 years, the team at Pivot Máquinas Agrícolas e Sistemas de Irrigação has served growers in Goiás, Minas Gerais and Bahia, Brazil – but they just recently joined the Zimmatic® family of dealerships.

“We used to sell another brand,” said Caue Campos, son of co-owner Jorge Campos. “This year, we had an opportunity to become a Zimmatic dealership. We decided to make the move, because we believe Lindsay has the strength to always be ahead of the competition. It’s the leader in technology and it offers the strongest, most reliable irrigation equipment on the market. Also, our founder has more than 40 years of experience in the pivot equipment market, so we share a strong passion for irrigation in our company.”

Owned by Jorge Campos, Marcelo Silveira and Marina Ubiali, the dealership has nine locations and employs a total of 230 people – 130 who work with its Case IH customers and 100 who make up the Zimmatic team.

“We focus on providing outstanding, personalized service for all of our customers,” Campos said. “It is very important to have a good reputation among the customers and be the first option when it comes to buying equipment, parts and service.”

Campos said their region is very versatile but most customers use medium size pivots – about seven spans. While soybeans, brown beans and corn are the most common crops grown in the area, there also is a lot of irrigated pasture and a few other crops.

“The future of agriculture in our area looks promising,” he said. “There is a consensus in the market and the government that irrigation is crucial for continued development. It is the fastest way to increase land productivity, because in Brazil with irrigation it is possible to have a second and even a third crop in the same year. There is no technology that can increase the land productivity like irrigation, and center pivots are the cheapest, fastest and smartest way to go.”
