Brazilian Tomato Growers Rely on FieldNET to Improve Efficiency

It’s quick. It’s easy to use. And it’s helping operators at Brazil’s Best Pulp Tomato Farm produce their crop more efficiently.

The “it” we’re talking about is FieldNET®– industry-leading technology that gives growers the ability to remotely monitor and control their irrigation systems. It’s installed on the 16 center pivots that irrigate 850 hectares (2,100 acres) of the Best Pulp operation. Located in Jaíba, north of Minas Gerais, the farm spans a total of 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) and produces 52,000 tons of tomatoes each year.

“It’s very easy,” said Ricardo Kakida, farm manager. “From a distance, we can control and monitor all of the pivots on the farm.”

As you will see in a story that recently aired on Brazilian TV, FieldNET helps Kakida spend less time in the field, uses fewer resources and gives him better control of the operation.
